What is hypnotism?

Hypnotism has been approved by the American Medical Association and The American Psychiatric Association. Hypnosis is often defined as a trance-like state characterized by suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination. It’s been around for hundreds of years, and is now a generally accepted scientific practice and taught at Harvard, Stanford, and most medical schools.

How does it work?
